During the 1988 Bicentennial celebrations in Sydney, David Wyatt, a young gay man, is found murdered in an alleyway in Darlinghurst. Stuart Kingston, a local interior designer, is enlisted by his friend in the police, Inspector Carrington, to go undercover at Touchstone sauna, the last place that David was seen alive.
