The male nude has always exerted a great attraction on artists and viewers alike. The 13 works of art presented in this calendar bear witness to a fascinating diversity in the depiction of the unclothed male body.
The selection ranges from marble-carved Greek athletes of classical antiquity to mythological scenes such as "The Fall of the Titans" (1588-1590) by Cornelis van Harlem or "Patroklos" (1780) by Jacques Louis David, up to the 19th century with works by Max Beckmann, Paul Cézanne, Erich Heckel, Ludwig von Hofmann, Eugène Fredrik Jansson, Kolman Moser, Edvard Munch, Kuzma Sergeyevich Petrov-Vodkin, and Henry Scott Tuke.
