Devorah Manikian was rehearsing for a starring role in Carmen and living in Eggerscliffe, a pseudo-castle belonging to a wealthy and eccentric impresario. But after a few weeks, her beloved partner Lee is notified that she is dead − killed in a tower fire. Lee travels to Eggerscliffe, but as she stands below the castle, she hears Devorah singing. Is it a hallucination brought on by the cocktail of pills Lee has been taking since Devorah's death? Or is Devorah being kept a prisoner somewhere in Eggerscliffe?
