Fenno is a lovable, slightly repressed gay man, who leads the life of an aloof expatriate in the West Village, running a bookshop. He believes himself safe from all emotional entaglements until two men - a wordly neighbour and a seductive photographer - draw him into territories of the heart he has never braved before. This exploration of modern relationships and the families people inherit or create for themselves is beautifully conceived and unfolded.
